The AOC of COLLIOURE (AOC : Original Controlled Appellation)
The products made from the black Grenache, " Mourvèdre, Syrah and
the Carignan vines as well as the COLLIOURE red and rosés wines
are developed early in the harvest season before the BANYULS.
They are strong and
generous
wines with ripe red fruits aroma.
Advices from "MAITRE CHAIS" :
The Collioure red wines can can be kept for 5 to 10 years depending on
the
quality conditons of your cellar.
Bottles need to be layed on their side away from the light.
The Collioure Rosés wines (pink wine) need to be consumed young, within
the
harvest year.
The whites will keep their fruit freshness for 4 to 5 years .
After opening let the wine bottle breathe for one hour before serving.
